Next Honda Civic Type R: hot hatch begins testing

  Honda has revealed official spy shots of the forthcoming Type R ahead of its release in 2022. Unlike the images we've already snapped, the new shots show the hot hatch under minimal camouflage and sporting an eye-catching red wrap. Thankfully, headache-inducing paintwork aside, it’s still possible to see those familiar Type R traits underneath.  As with the previous gen car, the new Civic Type R uses the  new hatch  rather than the sedan as a starting point, and then adds on the performance icing. This Civic sits lower, and it’s also possible to make out beefier Brembo stoppers and a wider, more aggressive body.  At the rear, the next Type R sports a wing that’s every bit as overt as you’d have hoped, and it’s complimented by a triple exhaust – now a hallmark of Honda’s Type R badge.  How fast will it be? By renting their dress they pay just a small fraction of the cost and don't have to decide on what to do with the dress after they wear it.
